3-Day Omo Valley Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Addis Ababa → Jinka → Turmi
Take a morning flight from Addis Ababa to Jinka, where your guide and driver will meet you at the airport.
Continue toward Turmi, with opportunities to visit local communities or markets along the way depending on the day of the week.
If a Hamer bull-jumping ceremony is taking place during your visit, we can adjust the itinerary to attend when practical.
Overnight: Turmi
Day 2 – Turmi → Karo → Jinka
After breakfast, drive toward the Omo River to visit a Karo community.
Learn about Karo traditions, body decoration and everyday life while enjoying the landscapes overlooking the Omo River.
After the visit, continue toward Jinka. Additional community or market stops can be included when time and local conditions permit.
Overnight: Jinka
Day 3 – Mursi → Jinka → Addis Ababa
Depart Jinka early and travel through Mago National Park to visit a Mursi community.
Learn about Mursi culture and traditions, including the lip plates traditionally worn by some women.
Return to Jinka for your afternoon flight to Addis Ababa, where the tour concludes.
