Omo Valley Tribes Tours Itinerary is as fallows

Day 01   Addis Ababa – ArbaMinch
In the morning after breakfast we will drive to Arba Minch En route visit Melka Kunture, a stone-age archeological site and Tiya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its ancient stelae dating from the 12th century. O/N in lodge

Day 02   Arba Minch – Jinka
Take a boat trip on Lake Chamo and view crocodiles sunning, hippos and the rich birdlife. After the visit to lake Chamo you will drive to Jinka through areas of various tribes such as the Konso, Tseme, Benna and Ari.  O/N in Jinka

Day 03   Jinka – Mursi – Jinka
Early morning, we will take you for a ride to the Mago National Park to visit the Mursi people. The Mursi women are well known for the clay plates they insert into their lower lips.  In the afternoon, visit the Omo Valley museum in Jinka. O/N in Jinka

​​Day 04   Jinka – Turmi
Drive to Turmi to visit the Hamer people.  The Hamer are known for the Bull Jumping. O/N in Turmi​

Day 05: Drive Jinka – Turmi
Take a day trip to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi village. The Mursi are one of the exotic ethnic groups in Ethiopia. The women like to wear terra cotta on their enormously stretched lower lips and ear lobes. Drive back to Jinka for lunch. Then proceed to the Turmi where the Hamer people live. Overnight in Turmi.

Day 06: Murulle and Nyangatom
This day you will drive to the Omo river bank where you can find the Karo people.  Karo People are very famous for their body decoration, which they paint their bodies and faces with white chalk to prepare for a ceremony. The women scar their chest believing it makes them beautiful. The men’s scars represent an enemy or dangerous animal killed. Visit and proceed to Nyangatom people, 17 kms away from the Murulle area. To adore their long and lean bodies, the Nyangatom women wear numerous necklaces and long skirts from goatskins that are richly decorated. Overnight in Turmi.

Day 07: Excursion to Omorate
In the morning you will have an excursion to Omorate to visit the Dassanech people northern shore of Lake Turkana. Visit and drive back to Turmi. Overnight in Turmi.

Day 08: Drive Turmi – Yabello
This day you will drive Yabello passing through the Arebore and Tsemay village. The Tsemaye, who the women are well know by having a tattoo on their face. They braid their hair in a number of different styles and wear beautiful beads around the neck. Visit and proceed to Jinka. O/N in Jinka

Day 09: Jinka – Konso
This day after breakfast you will drive to Konso. O/N in Konso

Day 10:   Konso –  Hawassa
Drive to the lakeside town of Hawassa. En route, visit a Dorze Village in the Guge Mountains. The Dorze are known for their beehive shaped bamboo houses. O/N in Hawasa hotel

​Day 11:   Hawassa – Bale Mountains
Drive to the Bale Mountains National Park and Arrive at the park headquarters in the afternoon hike in the national park spotting two endemic mammals that frequent the area: Menelik’s Bushbuck and the Mountain Nyala. O/N in lodge

​Day 12:   Bale Mountains – Addis Ababa
Drive to Addis Ababa and take a city tour in Addis and it is End of the Tour at the YodAbbysiny folcloric music dinner we will transfer you to the airport.
